Not a quiz with ten questions and a signup wall. The whole Ontario G1 bank, in sets, with the explanation the moment you answer.
The set. 45 questions drawn from all 683 Ontario G1 questions on this site, the full car bank written to the Official MTO Driver’s Handbook. There is no clock. You answer, you see the right answer and why, you move on. Every question you miss is saved to your Challenge Bank.
How it differs from a mock. A mock test runs 45 minutes on the clock and keeps the explanations for the end, the way the real test keeps its marks. Practice first, mock last.
Sixteen of them. The original 40-question set and fifteen more of 45, plus a short sixteenth with the remainder. All free, no signup, on any phone. Start one now or pick by size below.

Measured from 25,807 completed Ontario G1 practice attempts on our test engine, September 2023 to October 2026. Not a promise, a measurement.
| Score on the practice test | Share of completed attempts |
|---|---|
| 100%, every question right | 4 in 100 |
| 90% to 99% | 24 in 100 |
| 80% to 89%, the pass mark | 36 in 100 |
| Below 80% | 36 in 100 |
The average practice score is 82%. On the timed mock tests the same engine measures 86 in 100 attempts reaching the pass mark and 19 in 100 scoring 100%. Learners take practice tests first and mocks last, so the practice scores are the honest starting point and the mock scores are where the practice leads.
How it is measured: every completed Ontario G1 practice attempt of 40 or 45 questions recorded by our engine, counted on 2 November 2026; a pass is a score of 80% or more; attempts started and not finished are not counted. The real test is marked by DriveTest; the practice is practice.
45 questions, no clock, the explanation after every answer. Free, no signup. Then Practice Test 2, and so on through the bank.

Here it is five tests: Practice Tests 1 to 5 are 225 different questions, and 6 to 10 are the next 225. The whole bank is 683 questions across 16 tests, the complete Ontario car set on this site.
Any three Practice Tests back to back are 135 questions, all different. Start with Practice Test 1.
Yes, the original G1 Test Practice Ontario set is 40 questions, the same set embedded on the homepage. For the real test’s conditions, the 45-minute mock tests are closer: timed, explanations at the end.
Not on this site. A PDF cannot tell you why an answer was wrong, and the practice tests here can. The province’s own handbook is free to read online, and its eight official sample questions are on ontario.ca.
No site has the real paper; DriveTest does not publish it. Every question here is written to the Official MTO Driver’s Handbook, the book the real test is written from, in the same multiple-choice format as the province’s sample questions.
Until a practice test stops teaching you anything, which for most learners is somewhere between the fifth and the tenth. Then switch to the timed mock tests and pass three in a row.
On 25,807 completed practice attempts on our engine the average is 82%; 64 in 100 reach the 80% pass mark and 4 in 100 score 100%. The mock tests, taken later, score higher: 86 in 100 reach the pass mark.
